Everyone who registers to ubcbook.com must read and agree to the terms of use.

You are solely responsible for all the listings, advertisements, messages, topics, photos and any other content that you post or upload onto ubcbook.com, as well as every item that you buy from others through this website.

Pornographic, illegal content as well as excessive profanity and racial discrimination is strictly forbidden, and any user which does not comply with this rule will be banned from this website.
All users are responsible for their own accounts' security.

ubcbook.com is not responsible for any messages that you recieve, or any item that you buy through this site, and does not guarantee that the course books listed for your course/section are correct. You can find links to the UBC Bookstore site for the course you have searched for in the "Buy" and "Sell" sections, however it is still recommended that you check with your professors before buying books from ubcbook.com.

Information we collect

When you register, your password is stored as an MD5 hash. Therefore, even the people who have access to the ubcbook database will not be able to view your passwords or login with your account.

When you log in to ubcbook.com, two cookies are stored on your computer. Both are randomly generated ID's and neither includes any information about your account. (Your password is not stored in the cookies.) The website also records your IP address and browser information to protect own security. The website does this by checking to see if either has changed, protecting your account against cookie stealing.
